Outside is my happy place. Mother nature has a way of neutrilizing any trapped negative energy. By simply being outside in nature you will feel more relaxed. Do it everyday or every chance you get

Prepare for the most extreme! I am a Colorado native and I have learned that things change fast . Not only the weather! So Always have lots of water or a water filter device. I always have nourishment no matter how long I am planning to be outside. I always have a roll of gauze and an emergancy blanket. Of course dont forget the layers. A waterproof jacket is a must. Proper footwear is very important to prevent slipping. I also include sunscreen and a lighter! Be safe! If hiking alone please make sure you let someone know where you went and when you should return!

ALWAYS bring a National Geographic Trails Illustrated Topographic map! Plan your hike and do not rely on having service on your phone to give you directions in the wilderness.

If out for the day check the time you left the trailhead. Time goes by very fast when you are hiking or biking. Have a plan.

Be nice to others! The trails are for all of us. Pick a trail that fits to your desires.

I have seen more wildlife in Evergreen then I have ever seen on the trail. I feel the wildlife do not want contact with you. Surprizing any animal is a problem along with getting to close to babies of any species.

Make sure you are prepared to come across wildlife and reresearch the proper techniques to protect yourself.
